Hear ye! Hear ye! Ladies and gentlemen we have a
winner! Jaisalmer to Leh; thirteen contestants,
12 vote outs, immunity tasks, money tasks, fights,
lack of sleep and crappy toilets to name a few but
all that's over now because we have a winner.
20 yr old Parul, that small diminutive Delhi girl
with a cute smile has beaten them all; tough guys
Amitinder, Laveen and Rahul included. Oh and remember
the auditions. This girl didn't even get selected
for ROADIES 2 and now she takes home the grand prize
of Rs 4,87,000. How? Did she have a plan? Did she
bribe the others? I mean how? Well don't ask me
- presenting Parul and her journey.
MTV: How do you feel?
Parul: Great! Just great, I don't know what else
to say really, it's like a dream come true. I
mean I wasn't even selected for ROADIES 2 and
now this, it all feels so cool.
MTV: Did you think you would win?
Parul: I was really happy just to be selected
for the show, winning was a long way away but
I had rated my chances as 50-50. Then when I had
made it to the top 5, I rated myself as an 80-20.
Finally when it was down to just the last three,
I just had a feeling that I would win even though
ROADIES is physically demanding and Rahul is much
bigger and stronger than me.
MTV: Did you have a game plan?
Parul: No game plan as such. I just did my own
thing. I tried not to react to stupid outburst,
nor was I too keen on being in the limelight.
I am totally not into the over doing the 'cool
attitude' bit like Laveen and AJ. Even Stuti is
aggressive and wants to be in the front at all
the time. I just stayed back and played the game.
MTV: That tense moment; when Rahul has
to decide and he picks your name first. How did
that feel?
Parul: I couldn't believe it. It was a bad sinking
feeling, I mean I had come so close, I was almost
there and now it's all over. That was a scary
feeling.
MTV: Did you and Rahul ever hook up?
Parul: No! Never!!!
MTV: What do you plan to do with the
prize money?
Parul: Spend most of it on my post graduation
and the rest on shopping and partying with my
friends but I will spend most of the money higher
studies.
MTV: What was your favourite task / worst
task?
Parul: I really enjoyed the rappelling and monkey
crawl task On the other hand the one at Churu
where we had to drink that horrible juice and
touch the wall; that has to be the worst task
ever.
MTV: Is there anything that you would
like to change for the show?
Parul: Ya! Maybe we should have hidden cameras
as well since it is hard to get normal and natural
while having a camera in front of your face.
MTV: Was there anyone whom you really
didn't want to vote out?
Parul: Krishnesh! I felt really bad when I did
but I did what I had to do. It's all a game at
the end of the day.
MTV: Any words of advice for our future
ROADIES?
Parul: For the girls - You'll must know how to
ride a bike, and be smart the boys aren't that
tough For the boys - None at all.
